Book Summary:

ONE witch…

ONE dragon…

ONE week to break a curse…

Azalea Craven moved to Maplewood Hollow for a fresh start—one concealed from her Coven. Now, she exists quietly, keeping her true power tucked away from everyone, and she’s content with her uneventful routine. Every day is predictable, free of adventure and excitement… until she bumps into him. Literally.

Thezeyar Drakthar is the last of his kind—a dragon shifter who has spent five centuries hiding to protect his secret and survive. His only solace has been watching those around him live. Watching her—the mysterious witch who stirs something deep inside him.

When a simple breeze and a fallen leaf disrupt his carefully guarded life, Thezeyar is forced out of the shadows to confront the witch he’s admired from afar. With only a week until Halloween to break his curse, they embark on a journey through eerie forests, enchanted pools, and a toadstool for a diner. But something more dangerous sparks between them—an undeniable attraction.

Spells misfire, hearts collide, and the curse becomes more than just a magical mishap… It’s a matter of the heart and one they fear might not be fixed in time.

My Thoughts:

This was a cute quick read that left me wanting more. A witch and a dragon shifter fighting time to stop a curse. Azalea is a witch running from her past to finally meet her mate only to curse him by accident into becoming a lizard permanently. Thezeyar has spent the last 500 years trying to right things from his past and living a life of solitude.  The chemistry and fun were awesome. The only thing I wished there was more of was the description of Thezeyar in his dragon/human form. What exactly did that look like being half of each? It was great for a fun Halloween-themed quick night of reading.
