But one night at a low-key bar that his friends dragged him to, he saw her. She was real. With her piercing honey eyes that he couldn't place but knew he had seen before, and the curly hair he just wanted to tug on and run his fingers through. And maybe pull on as he took her from behind.

However, Tiffany Lee had a secret that she couldn't tell this man, not without him hating her for not being honest from the start. The reason between Fake and Real.

My Thoughts:

This was a fun quick read with plenty of tension and tender moments. It made me laugh and cry. I loved the characters and the storyline. Tiffany the MFC was fun and real. While Heath the MMC was broody with an attitude. I loved every minute of it.

My Thoughts:

Book two of the Bourbon Boys Duet did not disappoint. Finding out about Lennox the MMC story and his friendship with Greyson the MMC from book one was interesting. Lennox likes to ignite things. Which makes him perfect for the MFC Stevie. Who also likes to start fires herself. Stevie is running from a tragic past and is constantly looking over her shoulder. Playing hard to get on a night out with her friends will be the best thing to happen to her in a long time. Lennox will stop at nothing to keep her safe. This book is full of spice and the characters were wonderful.

My Thoughts:

Book one of the Bourbon Boys Duet. This did not disappoint. This is the first Brooklyn Cross book I have read and I will be looking for more. This does have a dark theme so read the trigger warnings. 

Grayson the MMC is an unhinged psychopath who loves kidnapping, torturing, and killing his victims. Paired with the MFC Alora, who is dealing with her guilt from a tragic accident, you have a mind-blowing story. The things Greyson does to Alora are out there. I'll never look at a carousel horse the same again. This was spicy hot.

My Thoughts:

This was a quick short read. It had the MFC Isabelle's and the MMC Greyson's point of view. Which I really like. I loved the predator/prey aspect of the storyline and that Isabelle was out to take over her deceased father's business. Even if her brother was still alive. A little unliving never hurts a story like this. This was a steamy read with lots of triggers, so read those before you start.  The only thing that would have made it better was a longer story, but other than that I loved every minute of it.

After A Dusk of Stars left me broken and hanging on the edge I didn't know what to expect. But Lyra pulled it off with a grumpy fae prince (Orpheus the MMC), time travel, complicated family members, and Miss Sunshine (Anna the MFC). There was lots of fun banter and a slow-burn romance between the main characters. Anna's stubbornness is still getting her in trouble and there seems to be no end to her trouble-seeking. I gobbled up every page. But in true Lyra fashion, she has thrown in a great plot twist and left us hanging on the edge, yet again. Now to wait for book 3.

My Thoughts:

I read this to my 6-year-old daughter as a bedtime story. She and I both enjoyed the trolls and the children's journey. I loved how the children had to figure out how to go about things and get creative with their ideas. For me, the story needed more but it is a children's book. It did make me wonder what the kids would be up to in a future book...

My Thoughts:

The MFC Isabella is a strong-willed, sassy, take no crap woman. She is out to take over the family business from her wicked brother. But her spying gets her caught up with an enemy family and is now forced to marry Lev the MMC. Who is sexy, dominant, and loyal. He will protect Isabella from anyone, even his own family. The chemistry between these two was off the chart. I loved the storyline and all the characters, but I felt it was missing something. Sometimes it felt like there was more that needed to be added. Other than that it was a quick read that kept me entertained.
